TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COMBATIVE MEMBERSHIP

I apply for Combative Membership with the Second Legion Augusta.
I understand that I will undergo initial combative training to ascertain my fitness and that the Second Legion Augusta will provide the guidelines for safety based upon those set out by the Second Legion Augusta, NAAMA, or that of other re-enactment clubs who involved with us in re-enactive combat.

I further understand that, my eligibility to be involved in combat will be based upon the initial three months training, unless instructed otherwise by an officer of the Second Legion Augusta.

I understand that re-enactment has some inherent risk and that the officers, trainers and instructors of the Second Legion Augusta will be providing me with techniques of sword and shield and other such ancient martial arts, as well as training in field manoeuvres and unit combat.

I agree that for the purpose of re-enactment I will be part of a martial combat unit and will follow instructions, as I understand that my safety, and that of others is at stake.

I will behave with dignity and respect towards my fellow legionaries and represent the Second Legion Augusta only when called upon by the officers of the Second Legion Augusta.

I indemnify the Second Legion Augusta its officers, instructors and trainers from all and any action I might commit on the field of re-enactment, in training or other and I personally am totally responsible for my self and my actions.

The Second Legion Augusta its officers, instructors and trainers are furthermore indemnified against any injury that may occur. I do not have infectious blood diseases. In the event I am issued club kit, I will maintain that kit and treat it with respect.

Upon issue of club kit I will take full responsibility for it and will replace it should it become lost, stolen or destroyed whilst in my possession. I understand that the kit remains the property of the Second Legion Augusta and will be returned upon request. I also understand that from time to time I will be called upon to be in a public domain and will carry myself with dignity and respect, assisting when required to provide a safe environment for the public.
